These bowls were made for the Gleaner's Food Bank Empty Bowls event on Easter. They are made by stacking light and dark clay together on the potter's wheel or by stacking clay stained different colours and throwing them on the wheel so they swirl together.

Poppy Project Launched at Eastminster United!

Today's launch was a great success. Many people ordered poppies. Orders will be taken until Labour Day.

Bi-Colour Bowls
Using a dark clay and a lighter one, Perry has thrown some bowls for the upcoming Empty Bowls on April 4th at Loyalist College. Here he is trimming the bowls to reveal the variation in colour.
Some of the bowls will also feature different colours of clay.

Beginning the Poppy Process
The London poppies signified so much to the people of Great Britain. A local church would like to commission Perry to make some poppies for them for this Remembrance Day. Here, Perry is in the first stages of putting together the clay bodies.

Quinte Arts Council
The Quinte Arts Council has really spruced up their displays of fine Art and craft recently. If you haven't dropped by for a while, visit their showroom at 36 Bridge Street East in downtown Belleville. Perry has a variety of exciting mugs, cups and bowls on sale for Christmas. The showroom is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 4:30. They are closing for the Christmas holidays Friday December 19th and reopening in January.
